So not in the fucking mood for this

Puck had been so damn reluctant about going to this stupid ceremony. After all, it was just going to be hours of absolutely nothing. It wasn’t that big of a deal to him to actually go through the graduation process. Of course, it was huge that he had actually graduated, but being on a stage with tons of other overemotional teenagers who weren’t ready to leave behind their high school lives was kind of annoying. Plus, his wife—his whole freaking world—wasn’t there. He couldn’t turn and kiss her in celebration or spin her around on stage like some stupid movie. His mother and his sister were in the audience, clapping for him, of course. That was something he was grateful for. However, when you’re married, your spouse because your main family. They were their own unit now and as much as he loved that his mother enjoyed this, he could care less.
All of the glee kids seemed to be excited about graduation. And why wouldn’t they be? They hadn’t had to grow up as quickly as he had, so this was still a huge deal for them. They were going to be at his house soon for Rachel, so he made his rounds of hugging everyone and telling them that he would see them there. Where was Macy though? He’d grown pretty close to the girl and he kinda wanted to mess up his little sister’s hair or something like an annoying big brother. His eyes searched the auditorium for her and caught the fleeting image of her back exiting the building. That’s when it occurred to him to look for her family. Nope. Not a trace. No one. No one had showed up for this important day of hers and it pissed Puck the fuck off. Truly, Macy had become a sibling to him and he was very very protective of his siblings. Once he was on your side, he was on your side. Period. No questions asked. After saying his last ‘see you guys in a minute’s to the glee kids, he gave his mom a hug and dashed outside to follow the girl.
He caught the sight of her ripping off her gown and throwing it on her bite, looking like she was on the verge of tears. That was completely unacceptable. His badass little sister didn’t cry! Not unless she was really, really upset. As he approached her, he breathed out a small laugh and thumped her arm. “Is that any way to talk to your big brother?” He teased, trying to lighten her mood the slightest bit. Sighing, he moved to her side and looked over her face. The slight hint of pain and disappointment was barely there, but he saw it. He knew his sister, damn it. “Seriously, do you want me to go all Braveheart on everyone? Or do you wanna bitch about it to me? Because I’m all ears. And you know I’m not gonna judge. I know what it’s like to have sucky family members.”
Macy closed her eyes for a split second when she felt the thump on her arm followed by Puck’s voice. Puck would be the only one brave enough to tease her into getting over something; he’d also be the only one likely to notice she was missing in the auditorium. It wasn’t that the rest of glee club didn’t care about her, she knew they did, she had numerous friends in the club and her boyfriend was in the club, but realistically she just wasn’t as important to them as the other glee members and their families. It made sense to her, and she wasn’t really in the mood to question it or feel sorry for herself.”I always talk to you like that, dumbass.” Her tone wasn’t malicious, it was just how Macy was. She was close enough to the boy that she knew even if they argued it wasn’t a real argument, besides Macy Brooks did not possess a filter of any kind.
She swallowed thickly as she dug through her purse before finally finding her old beat up lighter. Cupping her hand around the flame she lit the end of her cigarette inhaling deeply as she flicked the lighter closed again, keeping it in her hand to flick open and closed in an unspoken nervous tic. With her other hand she held the cigarette as she blew the stream of smoke away from Puck’s direction, glancing at him absently as she lifted the cigarette up a little, “Between us, okay? I promised I’d quit.” She snorted rolling her eyes with a humorless smirk, “Obviously it’s working out great.” She sighed as she turned around facing the school building again, leaning her hips against her motorcycle, one arm wrapping over her waist still flicking the lighter as she smoked quietly. Her eyes were annoyingly enough still filled with water – she refused to consider them tears since they hadn’t fallen- and the fingers holding the cigarette were actually shaking from the force of her emotions.
She shook her head as if remembering Puck had asked a question. She shrugged a bare shoulder carelessly as she flicked ashes off to the side, “You called it. Sucky family members suck. What else is there to it?” She spoke emotionlessly despite the obvious distress in her eyes and her nervous tics. But Macy was stronger than this. She would not crumble just because her family sucked, wouldn’t fall apart just because she was more insignificant than a speck of dust to everyone she knew. No, she would not be that girl, she was a fighter and she was tough. She was just experiencing allergies.

lillizzie94 asked: I am seeing tears you just graduated. CONGRATS :D But what's wrong? <3 Lizzie
Thanks girly. I did graduate, but it’s really no big deal. Some idiot handed over a rolled up paper that says I’m supposedly worth something while me and a bunch of other people wear garbage bag worthy robes. No that big a deal in the grand scheme of life.

Tell me about it? Talk to me, honey…
It’s stupid really. Don’t worry about me doll face I’m stronger than I look.

Macy stood with the rest of the somewhat small Senior class, she wasn’t standing by any of her friends but she was fine with that, she wasn’t exactly in a friendly mood. The speeches were all generic and grating on her nerves, and Principal Figgins was about as stupid as they came. When everyone stood to toss their caps in the air Macy flung hers with little care, it barely went more than a foot out of her hand before falling almost lifelessly back into her palm. As everyone around her exploded into happy applause again Macy scowled some and started weaving her way through the sea of disgusting red robes and sweaty tear stained faces. She felt like she couldn’t breathe in the auditorium and she needed to get outside.
She paused at the door of the auditorium glancing back, sure she could probably find one of the kids from Glee club, but they wouldn’t notice if she wasn’t there, they had their families and besides they were closer friends than she was with them. As she threw the door open she tore the hat off her head in frustration. She’d started the morning fine, her Mom had been awake and actually functioning like a human being, and her grandparents had sworn they’d all be there, her little sister had even picked out a frilly dress to wear. Macy had been stupid to believe them. She remembered the split second of shock, disbelief and embarrassment as she’d been handed her diploma and had turned out to the audience and seen…no one. There was no group of screaming excited family members, no thumbs up of congratulations, noting but a sea of people politely clapping for the girl who had no one at her high school graduation.
She wouldn’t cry. She told herself over and over again that she wouldn’t cry, instead she stormed off towards he motorcycle tearing the trashy robe off out of utter humiliation and frustration. She could feel her eyes watering and damn it, she wouldn’t cry. As she continued to stubbornly not cry she dug out her pack of emergency cigarettes because fuck promises, she needed to smoke. She threw the robe on the ground by her bike her bag on the seat as she tapped out a cigarette, she’d just stuck it in the corner of her lips when she heard the footsteps behind her, she discreetly wiped under her eyes before digging through her purse, “Unless you’re here to offer me a light I’m not interested in talking.”
Noah looked so handsome in his dress shirt and tie. Congrats! We did it!
It’s an overrated ceremony, you didn’t miss much Doll Face
